 Important News

Uniforms and Premier League

News and information for your local Referees from the State Referee Meeting on December 2, 2007, at Michigan State University:

Uniforms:

The USSF has introduced a new Referee uniform color (green), a new style of the previous uniform colors (yellow, red, blue, and black), and a new style of socks (double-striped) for 2008, which are available through Official Sports.

However, Carlos Folino announced that a "yellow is a yellow and black is a black, etc.", meaning that the Michigan Referee Committee has approved the continued usage of the older style USSF Referee jerseys. Referees should not feel compelled to buy new uniforms, but should replace their older uniforms with the new uniform color and styles when their older equipment becomes worn-out.

A Referee crew should continue to match jersey color and sleeve length, and try to match jersey and socks style, if possible.

If you have not recertified yet and attend any of these clinics please contact the referee assingor at the club to let them know of your updated status at
